4 Free Salsa Classes Every Sunday Night
Dickson of Xenbar will be conducting two free salsa
classes at Abblu (above Xenbar) every Sunday, 7:15pm Basic Salsa
Class and 8:15pm Intermediate Salsa Class
Manfred of AAVX will also be conducting two free
salsa classes at Xenbar every Sunday. 7:15pm Basic Salsa Class and
8:15pm Intermediate Salsa Class.
So everyone can choose between two different teachers
and learn both Basic & Intermediate Salsa. Just buy the first drink
at $7 and you can choose to go for all four classes free. MMmmm....
I think, I will be going. See you this Sunday.

Taiwan Salsa Festival 2006
Juz came back from Taiwan... Superb place! Lots of food, clothes,
frenly ppl... The Taiwan Salsa Fest was a great blast! It was small,
but real cosy. We met Israel and Juan Carlos who are both really
fantastic Cuban dancers. They way they isolate their shoulders and
bodies just make you gulp... and drool. The great thing about taking
part in overseas festivals is that you get to see the different

On Judging for the AC Dance Salsa
Examinations... Fair? Or unfair?

I heard some comments about the judging criteria for the salsa
exams. I'd like to say one thing from my previous experience in
Ballet examinations. Our ballet examiners are brought in from
overseas (mostly from UK) to judge in the different schools. They
are always different people, and they all have their own marking
preferences. I recall my ballet teacher saying things like, "this
examiner likes expression", or "this examiner is very strict on
technique"...
